2021 Ford V8 Cockpit - no cigarette lighter ?

just picked up my brand new Entegra Emblem 36U and can't find a cigarette lighter to power my Garmin GPS. All I have is 110V and USB. Any idea ? Thank you

Well the Garmins run off of USB voltage so just get a USB cable with the Garmin end correct - most likely a mini-USB connection

My new Axis has two cigarette lighter outlets on the dash, but they are both dead.

The USB may not be a power port. It might be a USB in port for the radio.

But if you look at the GPS end it is a mini-USB connection. That is how you connect it to your PC for updates and data transfer.

But my 770Rv is very particular about the USB cord and not just any cord will work. Also my 770 updates vis WiFi and not through a laptop connection.

Well sure, but the OP was interested in the other end which is a hardwired lighter plug.

That's why I suggested a USB cable in post #3. A "hard wired cable" is not removable from the device it powers. By your definition every USB cable is "hard wired" with USB ends.

Well this is minutiae and not worth arguing about, but what I meant was that the end that you need to plug into your vehicle has a hardwired male lighter plug on it as opposed to a usb plug. I understood that the OP was lamenting the lack of a lighter receptacle.

I know that with Garmin if the incorrect power cable is used you may get an error telling you the insufficient power cord is being used and it will not charge the unit. If that happens, you could go with this.
