Rv entry door not locking???

Try spraying the locking mechanism with WD40...my 2021 22E entry door would not stay shut w/o locking the "dead bolt". Sprayed the mechanism with WD40...works like new...problem solved!!!

Entry Door Problems

Seeing the catch phrase “our next stop” caught my attention as Bob & BJ have been friends for over 40 years since we were stationed together in the Air Force. Bob passed a few years ago but would have laughed at the fact that a thread he started was still going on the Thor Forum. I remember him saying they were at a rest area yelling out the windows trying to get someone’s attention to open the door so they could get out of the RV. Bob was a great friend and is missed. He enjoyed traveling and made friends everywhere he stopped.

door latch problem

I know this is an older thread but just wanted to mention we have been there dun that. Contact door latch fix.com and it will be the end of your problems. Bob has designed a new heavy duty STAINLESS STEEL part to replace the defective part inside. It is a work of art . I almost wanted to set it on my shelf for awhile just to look at the quality.
This will be the end of your problem

I also purchased this part and am very well pleased with the way the latch works after the installation.

The original cast zinc part didn't engage the latch strike plate deeply enough. Sometimes on bumpy roads the only thing holding the door shut was the deadbolt. The new stainless steel part is a bit longer and the problem is resolved.

Glad that I replaced the original part before it broke.
