Anyone installed Steering Stabilizer on a 2021 THOR ACE (F53) yet?

Just want to know if anyone have installed a Steering Stabilizer yet (don't matter which brand) on a 2021 THOR ACE (F53). I previously purchased a RoadMaster Model RBK22-RSSA from etrailer. I ended up returning it to etrailer as the u-bracket will not fit the part where it is supposed to go to (sorry I don't know how it is called). Apparently, that part for the 2021 have a bigger diameter. I called Roadmaster today and they told me they dont have anything yet for the 2021 F53.

The sway on my ACE is scary when a sudden gust of wind hit the coach or when a big rig passes by. I really would like to add a steering stabilizer.

Steering stabilizer is not going to help with rear end sway.

The 2021 F53 if I recall correctly has a larger diameter factory sway bar. Is the cheap handing fix still applicable to the bigger sway bars? If so I would do a front and rear CHF.
I did the CHF front and rear to my 2018 F53 and the roll is night and day.
Front and rear trac bars if Ford didn't add to the "new" F53 will go a long way to taming some of the sway. Everybody's got a different view on what suspension mods work for them. Your results may vary.

Ador: I just yesterday purchased a 2021 ACE 30.4, and received the bad news that apparently there are NO Rear Track Bars avail yet for our "New" F53 chassis. BUT, Ultra RV Products says the Saf-T-Plus steering stabilizer does fit (41-180).
I'll post here if I hear anything else.
Happy motoring. EddieA
PS. I drove my new ACE 30.4 the 640 miles from Wichita KS to Clear Lake (Houston) TX with a 23 mph wind, gusting 35, coming over my right shoulder from the rear. No fun, that's why I'm researching rear trac bars!

Thanks for your response Eddie. Anything I can add to my motorhome to help me control it when I get hit by strong wind will give me peace of mind. On few instances, I got hit with strong wind and I thought I will get pushed to the side. SCARED the hell out of me. We love our 33.1. I just need to do something to better control the unit when I get hit with strong wind. Please reply back to this thread when you hear or know something.

On a side note, I called Road Master yesterday. They currently DO NOT have anything "yet" for the 2021 F53. However, a very nice fellow just called and left a a voice mail. He said they are already working on the NEW Kit that will fit the 2021 model. I called him back and left the specific Year, Make and Model of my RV, as well as the GVWR. He asked for those information on his voice mail.

I am not that familiar with suspension components. Can we ad that "Rear Track Bar" to our unit? If so, please let me know the Name and Part Number. Thanks.

Smile Chassis mods for 2020 F53 with V8

ador: I just ordered the SS401 rear trac bar from Amazon (on the advice from Ultra RV Products, a well respected company). The SS401 specs call for a GVW of 20 - 22.5K, but my 2021 ACE 30.4 has a GVW of only 18K --- Ultra tells me that my 2021 ACE 30.4 now has the larger rear-end (pumpkin), thus requiring the larger trac bar bracket. (Ultra is "out-of-stock on the SS401).
But Ultra RV does have the Saf-T-Plus steering Stabilizer and the bracket kit, so I ordered those also (Hey, somebody's got to keep the economy going! ).

I'll do a follow-up after installation & testing.
Happy Motoring. EddieA

Hello Ador,
My 2021 ACE 33.1 also has the front end steering sway when hit with a strong wind, pulls the front end to one side, I’ve kinda learned to control it. Not sure if a hydraulic ‘steering’ stabilizer will help. The front stabilizer bar on the new F53 chassis 7.3L is quite beefy. It does not have the ‘cheap fix’- re-attaching the bar to another mounting hole. The rear bar on mine, Does have another mounting hole to re- attach the stabilizer bar to a ‘tighter’ mounting hole. I’m not sure if I’ll move the bar yet, rear end doesn’t have a tremendous amount of sway.

Thanks for the reply Beerepair. At this point, anything that will help me get a better control when I get hit with the strong wind will give me some peace of mind. When the big truck pass me by, it doesn’t bother me much. It is when a strong gust of wind hits the RV that scares me. I do slow down when it gets windy. But the sudden gust of wind is something else.

Hi You can always go to a truck/rv shop that does this type of work. They do alignments etc. I called and they said they will measure everything and give a parts and labor price

Just ordered a Safety-T-Plus for my 2016 ACE 29.4. Watched the video and it seems straightforward. I had to order it under Ford, F53 with 1-1/2 tie-rod, 19.5 tires"

Read the torque specs and make sure you have the tools necessary for the job.
