House battery charging

Is the charger for the house batteries part of the converter or is it separate ?

Just had the electrical system pretty much replaced and not charging the batteries. "What's a mother to dooo??"

First be sure you are plugged into shore power. Make sure storage-use switch is in Use position.

The Converter IS the charger. It also supplies the 12 VDC loads when plugged into SP.

In order for the converter to charge the batteries you must have:

The reverse polarity fuses in the power center fuse panel must be good. They are two parallel 30 or 40 amp fuses out of line with the other distribution fuses.

The USE/STORE (battery disconnect, Main Power) switch must be in USE (Shut, On). Do not rely on any "indicator" light to tell you the status of the switch.

The 50 amp DC breaker near the batteries must not be tripped.

Any of those will stop the batteries from being charged.

House battery charging

I have a 50 amp and a 100 amp breaker. The 100 amp looks like a reset push button on it and it is out

No, the push button trips it and flips a flag out to indicate it is tripped. Pushing the flag back in resets the breaker. For your problem you are interested in the status of the 50 amp breaker.

While we wait on OP to get back on locating 50 amp breaker. The picture attached help me to better understand what is meant by the Reverse Polarity fuse. I guess because I have SOB that is why I did not follow. I usually know when polarity is reversed when I see sparks
