I've had my Miramar 34.2 for about 2 months, and noticed the wandering and big truck push on the first trip. Could not take my hands off the wheel or look away in wind/storms or with heavy truck traffic.
I decided to do the CHF which I did today. The Sway Bars on the 15 F53 chasis are huge at 1.5 inches thick. I had to use a small piston jack to raise the bars up to bolt the back setting hole on the sway bars. I have not taken it on the road, but I am hopeing for vast improvements in drivability.
I have not weighed the coach loaded. Anyone know where to do that? Weigh Station on the Highway? Guess I'd stop and ask them for a courtessy weigh?
Also, I dont know if the dealer aligned, but I'll take it to my Ford dealer close by that has a big truck shop, and ask them to check/align the front end.
Just wanted to give those considering the CHF a heads up. The sway bars are stout. Did not lengthen the front tie rods, just moved them back, jacked the bars up a bit, and slid the bolt and Z Bracket bolts in, torqued em down and that was all. Took me about an hour per axle. For those doing it, put the drivers side rear Z bracket bolt (reversed) on first, then the passangers side. Maybe my driveway was not level, but that was a pain to start that over again.
