You can always install multi-outlet, DC powered USB charging ports.

Or for those of us less adventurous you can get one of these for $16. Plug and play.

112v/usb

[QUOTE=mdntblu;338466]Has anyone seen an RV style 120v receptacle with USB built in?

I like the ones with the USB-A and USB-C
______________
There is no difference between RV and house. Any one would work the same way. Type A, C or any other is referring to small cable end (output) so it is not relevant in the socket. USB port is identical

Does not exist

To the original poster. I am 100 per cent sure that a combination 120 v and USB using box less construction and where the back compresses the wires and creates the connection does NOT exist.

Yes if there is room, a house style combo USB and 120 v could work with the addition of a work box and screw type connections, if there is suffient space for a work box and wires long enough to screw to. This is an issue for many Thor rvs and even travel trailers and mobile homes. In my case, I have under a 1/2 inch and no slack wire.

This is a little off topic, but....

All of the receptacles in my Class-C are powered from my integrated inverter.
I've considered installing a couple of USB receptacles of the type being discussed in this thread. But, I ruled it out because of residual parasitic power draw.

In order to deliver 5 VDC to a USB port, the combo receptacle must include a small AC transformer, a rectifier, and a filter. These components will necessarily draw a small amount of power, whether or not they are being used. And, there is no provision for turning them off to stop that. I know it is only a tiny amount of current but, when dry camping, every little bit matters.

Why would anybody want to add something to their rig that continuously wastes a small amount of power?

using home outlet with USB in an RV

what you are looking for is a 1-Gang "Old Work" electrical box with build-in clamps ( the part that twists to hold on to the wall).

you install the gang box and then you regular home outlet on top.

you can find them at Home Depot or Lowes.

I've install 2 such outlets on my Hurricane.
