New Headlights

Fed has approved adaptive driving beam headlights.
This is a game changer that hopefully we can get to our rigs one day.
It is much different than the system that automatically turns on high beam.

Basically it is a high beam only system that can shut off individual LED chips to not blind another vehicle. The part of the beam not shining on another vehicle will still be shining high beam.

I love that the side of the road will always be in high beam.

Sort of along that note I had my aux lights on my Harley Davidsons stay on with high beams so I could illuminate the shoulders where critters hang out. Wider spread the better.

Great idea.
Even when my eyes were young and strong I felt I wanted more lights.

I read about motorcyclelights that spread the light toward the way the bike is turning so you don't turn into darkness. I think some Harley's have it.
Pretty cool stuff.

Last time when we were on vacation in Germany our rental car had that light system. I found it to be far superior then what is currently available here.

I think the DOT wants(ed) driving lights to only work on high beam. Apparently to keep drivers from leaving blinding driving lights on when approaching vehicles at night.

Actually meant that the lights stayed on both high and low beams.
