Theater Seat Speakers with TV

I have the 50" Seiki facing my theater seats. I think my biggest upgrade I'd like to do is have the TV sound come out through the speakers above the theater seats. This seems like a glaring miss to not offer out of the box.

My forum research shows that the only device connected to the theater seat speakers is the in-dash radio unit. Some people use a bluetooth audio transmitter but I"m concerned about audio lag.

Do we have a Plan B?

I'm no expert but maybe I can bump your question so you get a better answer.

Seems to me that those stock speakers are probably not the quality you are wanting. I would probably leave them as original and install a 3.1 wireless system with new small speakers mounted over the seats. Don't you have a cabinet there to run power wires?

Can't begin to answer the audio lag question. Is this a big problem with surround systems in a small space?

Instead of it being a problem with the quality of the speakers over the theater seats, it's more a problem of the speaker wire doesn't connect to the TV at all. The speakers over the theater seats only connects to the radio in the dash.

The bluetooth lag problem is more of a problem with bluetooth technology in general. It's good for sharing audio to other sources but if you have to pair with audio it can get out of sync.
