No Risers on New to Me 38RSSA

Well after too many years looking, finally pulled the trigger on a new to me 2015 38RSSA.

It is in great shape and passed an independent inspection with only minor things needed.

Here's my question, I have a 2022 F-450 4x4 and have been reading about 2-3" risers are needed on the 2017+ Fords, this DRV does not have them. I will be picking the DRV up and driving 900 miles home with it. The DRV will be close to it's empty weight since we won't have all of our "stuff" in it until we get home.

Will I run into problems not having the risers? Clearance with the bed rail, tailgate, anything else that I might be missing?

I'm guessing it will not sit level and there will be more weight on the rear axle but wondering if that will cause issues? My F-450 does not have air bags so hoping with the PIN weight, it might be less of an angle?

You WILL be nose high for sure. Plan on adding 3" risers.

Set your hitch to get at least 6" clearance at the tailgate and you will be fine!
