Smile Camping in St Augustine in our new Class C

Thanks for adding me to the Thor group. We will be leaving March 7 from our home base in Daytona to hit the western states including a drive up the Pacific Coast Highway. Will be gone through mid-July! Awesome!

We are in Lakeland. We'll be headed out west as the weather gets too hot here, come June or July. Headed to Western Canada for a few months.

We used to live in St Augustine. It's as cool place.

Welcome to the site. I've learned a lot on the forum. I've learned from others mistakes [emoji16]

Welcome to the forum! Have a great trip, and share some pics along the way.

Inquiring minds want to know, is this your first RV, which model and year did you buy, traveling with pets, retired?

We just left St. Augustine. Try to get into St Anastasia State park. Awesome is an understatement.

That's a great plan...start a website or blog on your travels. We are doing the same thing in a few months and have a website ready to go. I follow a few on YouTube that do this and it's helping me post destinations on the wall map of must-sees. Do you keep a daily log?

Welcome and enjoy your trip. We did the west coast trip last summer. Took two and half months. One of the best trips we have taken.

We started a you tube - yaktop’s adventures

Have a few rv posts to upload but lousy WiFi takes forever to load. Mostly for family. Great way to do it.

Welcome to the site. Remember that the Pacific Coast Highway is many bends and curves but has a beautiful view of the ocean/shoreline. It can also go down to one lane in each direction at times. California is a narrow but long state. Fuel is a bit on the expensive side so be ready for that obstacle. Traffic on the freeways can be upsetting if you are not used to it. I live in So. California (Orange County). The roadside rest stops are usually not in good condition if they are even open when you arrive. Good luck on your trip.
