Hello from SA, TX. Thor Outlaw 29H

We purchased our first RV in Aug 2016 and love it! It's a 2015 Thor Outlaw 29H and we do have one issue that we haven't been able to figure out. Can anyone tell me how to heat up the water? I've tried both gas and electric and we haven't had any luck warming up the water for a shower. Thanks and we are excited to meet new friends on our new journey!

For the electric switch - it sends a 12 volt signal down to a relay on the back of the water heater letting the 120 volt current from the water heater circuit breaker go to the water heater. The electric thermostat also controls the relay. Unless you are an electrician, best to leave the trouble shooting to the experts other than checking the 120 volt circuit breaker. As for the propane - The switch sends power to a circuit board which controls the water heater. About all you can check is the 12 volt fuse and making sure the propane is on. If the coach has been stored, you might bleed the propane line. Make sure the propane is on and light the stove for about one minute, that will get most of the air out of the line.

It hasn't been sitting as I've been using it on a regular basis but not once have we gotten any hot water out of it. Not even the red light by the water heater gas/electric switches have come on to notify us that it's not working. Thank you for the info.

Could it be the water heater is bypassed for winterizing? There is likely a valve or two in a cabinet (behind a drawer maybe) near the water heater.

Valves are under sink. remove garbage can and shelf. two should be on, bypass valve should be off.
