Do at least one thing everyday that scares you - seems to be my life motto. I have been fortunate in "adventures" and traveling throughout my life and hope to continue. But buying an RV for the third chapter in my life - BIG SCARY! I grew up dreaming of road-tripping but life interfered initially. Previously only short trips to connect with family, but now as I aged - sleeping on the floor of a mini van doesn't cut it. So here I am - owner of an ACE 27.2, longing to hit the road. Wave if you see me - I'll be the one waving back or forward as I drive towards ya.

Welcome! Understand how you feel. We bought our Axis two weeks ago today. I told a friend today that we went into big debt to prepare for retirement, hmmm, something just doesn't sound right there! But the thought, hope it's a good one, is that we know our payment and can budget/plan retirement accordingly. Retirement is 3 years, four months away.

We had a family member with a similar story: They went to the fall RV show and kind of picked out the unit they liked (we went with them). They waited (no sense on buying an RV in the fall around here and make 6 months of payments when you're not using it). We then accompanied them to the spring RV show here. After some hemming and hawing (and a little push on our part) they made the leap and picked up the unit they initially picked out in the fall.....

Then winter came roaring back around here until almost mid-May.. They spent those excruciating few months doubting themselves...

The weather finally broke and they went camping, and camping, and camping, and camping (since mid-May I think they have not camped a couple of weekends). They love it and couldn't be happier
