Need some advice before pulling trigger
Seriously looking at a 1999 Infinity by Thor 34K has been warehouse kept only no fading on outside interior is still in good shape 29,000 miles. One owner went Florida decided to stay and now selling it.
Any advice on what to look at problem wise? Any idea of what to offer for it?
Thanks much.

Hoping you can find an independent RV Expert/Repair fellow ... for a fee they will do a complete walk through...Since it has been sitting quite a bit, it could have some hidden problems

Thanks. Hasn't been sitting long maybe few months has current inspection. Only issue according to owner is generator isn't outputting enough to keep both AC units running at same time.

There is the Father Time factor. Age of everything in the coach and replacement parts. Tires will need replaced soon, most likely way out of date code even if they "look good, plenty of tread". As mentioned above get a competent survey.

Check the transfer switch and replace the batteries, do not go cheep on these. also clean all the cable ends including the grounds to the frame. Other than that have the rpm checked on the gennie, the onan has a tendency to drop rpm's when under load.
Is it a Ford or a Chev chassis?
Also I answered you E-Mail..

Have you shopped this same rv on RV TRADER website? If you can find some other units, you can compare pricing..see if they are inline price wise !
There is a 1998 35D for 14k ... on RV Trader ...

now that you have had quite a bit of feedback from others...
34k for a 1999, in comparison to others seems pricey...
old is old, regarding how well it has been sheltered...
this could be a can of worms...use caution and
if you really want it..negotiate that price downwards so
you can feel justified in spending $$ on those repairs which
will, eventually, arise. Unless the owner can show proof of
replacing all the things that go bad after many years.
good luck....Ron

20 year old technology?
Agree with Ron, 34K looks like about twice average to high end retail.
Just some random thoughts:
Even if could buy for 14K cash .. would still have to budget another 14K to fix up. Then would still only have a working 20 year old technology "unit" which is only worth 10K - 14K on today's market not 34K! Suggest going back to a list of absolutely "must haves" in a used RV. How many people, how often, what level of reliability of all systems, do you need a toad and wish to spend the cost associated with that? Do you really need a MH or would a trailer actually fit?
For instance, I have a 1991 Toyota Landcruiser in great shape that I drive every day and every single thing works properly on it. Have paid for it many times over in maintenance costs over the years and it costs me about $800-$1000 per year in upkeep. If I had to renew its functionality to me if I lost it cost would be $15,000 - $20,000 so that's "my worth" ... however on the market it is still only worth $2,000!
If I had maximum 14K - 20K range to look at for an RV ... I think I'd consider first renting a minimum size unit and if it works out, then perhaps visit a consignment lot like PPL or private purchase and make only really low-ball cash offers which I would not expect to be accepted and may even be offensive to the current owner, and wait till it happens. With a budget to fix up as necessary with a certain knowledge that after a few years you may have to donate the unit just to get rid of it.
In your case if really interested in this quite old unit, I'd offer 10K cash in an envelop and walk away if not accepted.

Book value is .....
Low book 10k
High book is 16k
wholesale value is 6k to 8k dependent on region
no increased value for low mileage.
Note!
Altho this is an older coach with older technologies...and you may have to bring the tv's and some things up to the digital world.
The older technologies did not break as often and there are few "whiz bang" gadgets that will give you grief.
If you want to go "camping" and not spend a fortune every month making payments while waiting for the coach to return from the dealer with said "whiz bang" gizmo's fixed under their "warranty when we get around to it"
I say buy it use it don't worry if you gain a scratch or three, hell you ain't into it a large sum of $$ sooo Let 'er Rip Taterchip!

How is your search progressing. Having read all the feedback...it appears we
ALL HAVE YOUR BACK on this one.
Be cautious...if you feel comfortable spending 30-40k .. look at something newer in that price range...shop RV Trader... you can narrow your search by checking price range, size/length, year, slide #,# of people it sleeps/beds etc.
You can shop certain brands. 'aint the internet great' !!!
keep us posted
