Some Guy from Muleshoe

Just brought home a new 2016 Axis 25.2, finished proper alignment, new Helwig front and rear swaybars and soon adding the Roadmaster Reflex steering stabilizer. About to add vent covers. Local drives only with hopes of first short overnight next week.

Looking for other interested owners in the Texas Panhandle (I assume there are no others in Muleshoe, Texas USA)

We brought our Axis home in January. January, February and March in Kansas is not conducive to camping ! We have been out 4 times on short trips to get lined out on setup, etc.
Enjoy your new coach and know that there are many knowledgeable members on this forum who will be happy to answer any question you might have !

Happy camping !

WE LOVE OUR AXIS !!

Welcome from the Panhandle of Florida!! The vent covers are a great addition for sure. I got the black, as my last unit had white, just to much heat, and light.

Muleshoe,
I had a younger brother that lived on Lake Texoma "Playground of the Southwest" several years ago. We had a family reunion and really enjoyed the lake. If I remember correctly they had a State Park just out of Kingston. There was an American Legion Post that had some property and sites on the Lake. We plan a roadtrip there next summer (2017).

That anywhere near you?

Doc

Congratulations on your new coach!
We are near the end of our first year, with 7000 miles and about 7 nights in our 25.2. A few minor things to work out, but we have found it to be our "Goldilocks" coach, just right for us!
Wishing you many smooth miles and lots of happy camping!

Congrats...

I guess our Axis is one of the "Senior" units here being that we picked it up in 2014.
Still going strong; despite all my mods I've done to it

Unfortunately, though, ours has to sit for a good 6 months of the year covered with a cover and a few feet of snow at times...

Better get it stable, grew up in Dumas & the wind may BLOW in that area a little, like 40+ sustained daily this time of year.

Update from Muleshoe

DocMike - I haven't been over to Lake Texoma - we raced years ago on the airfield at Ardmore which is in that area. Might be worth a drive - looks like about 4 hours.

Travelin' Texans - we were in Sunray moving the kids back home to Muleshoe this weekend. Yes, any wind under 25 does not actually qualify as wind. Any thing over 25 is breezy, anything over 50 is annoying, above 75 we try to stay inside. Just sayin'
