We have had Rec-Pro St. Charles recliners with cloth upholstery for over two years. They are very comfortable and no issues. We find the cloth much more comfortable and it is much more durable than the vinyl. They fit through the door easily, since the back and the base go in separately.

Thanks Twovillagers, I have ordered color samples to see if I can get a match

Did the same and went with the lighter cloth, see picture above. The vinyl doesn't breathe well and gets sticky in a hot environment. We live in SE AL, her trailer is kept in NW FL and I keep a towel behind me in her trailer with the fake leather vinyl ones. Not an issue with the cloth I put in the Omni. Biggest hassle installing was getting the crappy "incliners" out since the backs don't come off. Twisting required and I have a thread I started on the install in the C section.

Do I dare say anything about a "comfortable recliner": or will it get me in trouble?

4seating.com is a great option

You have a wider area than I did, but 4seating.com has many options in many sizes. I ordered this one and the parts all fit through my 22-1/2 inch wide A.C.E. door. And I am very pleased with the quality of the leather. https://4seating.com/seatcraft-theat...r-seating.html

Theatre seating

We were uncomfortable on a sofa bed, decided to replace it with theatre seating.
Purchase a unit from Brad and Hall and could not be happier. Goggle them and review what they have

Go to a furniture store it's a lot cheaper.

In my earlier raptor toy hauler I removed a very uncomfortable sofa/air bed/contraption that was in a 7' slide and put in 2 Best Furniture swivel rocker recliners. Best is the brand and it's good quality. Got the petite version which wasn't small just not overstuffed or overly large. Backs came off so getting them in was easy. Also affordable and comfortable. I looked online at their lines and talked to a rep a store and even though they had the recliner theater seat types, it would have to be ordered with a 6-8 month lead time. 1st I'm not waiting that long and 2nd I'm not buying furniture without a butt test.

The previous store stock did well though.
