Is it possible to set up the AGS to kick on the generator if power fails. I always worry when we are out and the dogs are in the RV that the power will fail and it will get too hot for them. Any suggestions?

If shore power fails; it should kick you over to the batteries. Once they drop low enough...
If you can adjust the AGS: set it up to kick on earlier than normal.

I think Bulletproof meant so his AC will continue to operate. Like mine when on batteries no AC. I would like to set mine up also and have tried putting the kick in voltage at 12.9 and it has never started on its own. I am doing something wrong and maybe will help bulletproof with his.

Tanman you are correct. It would be nice if there was a switch you could turn on so when power fails the Gen starts.

Some systems allow you to monitor the temp in the unit and if it gets to high it will fire up the generator so the air will work. Can't speak for all of them but I believe the one we have is a magnum. With that said I have not tried it on our unit yet.

The a/c units don't run off the batteries... I knew that; but forgot...
But if the place was left with the lights on: that should pull down the 12 volt power...
