Shower grab bar mod

I'm hoping to be able to take a couple of trips this coming season but my wife has Scoliosis and hardly walks and has balance problems. My Vegas 25.2 requires a little bit of agility to exit and we're afraid she can't do it without something solid to hold on to. I'm thinking that the wall at the shower side of bathroom door looks like it may have an 2/2 or aluminum stud in the end and was wondering if anyone has tried to mount a grab bar of any kind there? If so what did you use and how did you mount it. The end of the wall isn't very sturdy but it would give her a balance point even if she couldn't put much weight on it.

Guess I should have kept my 40' Phaeton but didn't realize we would have mobility problems this quickly. I'm not ready to trade rigs after just 3 years of ownershipif I can help it. Rig is a 2017 25.2. Thanks for your thoughts.

Watching this one closely, and I hope that you find a solution for your lovely Bride.

Have you contacted Thor and asked for the drawings of the wall structure? They may be in the resource center

I have now, thanks for the suggestion. Also I messed up the post, the problem is exiting the shower but I didn't say shower so some probably think I mean the motor home.

I had dealer put a grab bar in the shower in our Gemini. They removed a section of wall board, and put a plywood board behind it to attach the grab bar to. It was very solid.

That may be exactly what I have to do but sure didn't want to get into the wall if I don't have to. The shower wall ends about 1 1/2 inches from the end of the wall so I have to have the strength in that area. Anywhere else will require lots of work as the bathroom pocket door parallels that wall right outside of the plumbing end of the shower. Hopefully Thor sends that wall structure drawing so I don't have to unnecessary exploratory surgery.

Thanks for your idea it may be the best.
