Top 10 things you Hate about your RV

1. Steering, Swaying and ride comfort (F-53 added Safe T Plus and Sumo Springs but refuse to try the CHF )
2. Gas Mileage / Buying Gas ( Spent $140 this morning
3. No Dimmer switches (coach was too dark or too bright; I fixed with Mods)
4. No Audio / Volume controls on Steering wheel
5. Impossible to easily drain oil filter without wasting oil and design / location of Catalytic Converter (Too easy to steal) (F-53)
6. A receptacle that is on side wall next to TV is NOT on Inverter
7. No outside connection for water hose hookup ( to wash RV to get my fresh water tank down to 1/3 full
8. The stock OEM FLA NAPA House Batteries (what a waste, fixed with Pure AGMs
9. Placement of cupholders on Driver side ( unsafe to use as designed while driving)
10. Driver and passenger's screen inserts rattle at high speeds (inherent with design)

It's a kit.
It rolls when you buy it but the rest is up to you. It's adequate, nothing more.

You've changed what you don't like.
$24+ buys you steering wheel radio and android controls on Amazon. It'll even control driving lights and electric blankets if you want it to.
The factory system might have been a $300 and could never open or close a roof vent.

You're on your way to making it entirely yours.
It could all be much worse.
You could have bought that stupid ekko for $30,000 more, had all the goodies you like and they'll even throw in a shower with a toilet in it.

A larger inverter was an option when I ordered it... I should have!
I also should have taken advantage of the chance to order the factory solar panel setup...
A few more outlets in some handier positions would be nice also...
I wish we could use it more.

That's it!!

I listed these on the Likes thread but here are my list of dislikes again. Thor deserves the double exposure!!

BMPro touchscreen control panel. I prefer real switches to having to go to the touch screen to turn on a light, retract a slide, etc. The tank gauges are no more accurate than the old LEDs.

Small shower, but to be honest it works ok for us. Can't really complain much. It was the only way to work a dry bath into that layout.

Cheap cabinets and paneling

And one more: The absolutely horrible way Thor mounted the new wide radio and camera display screen on newer Axis/Vegas. The screen falls out when you hit a bump and is only supported by a few cheap plastic moldings- looks tacked on which it is. Not enough support for that heavy radio which is attached to the screen behind it.

I have never understood why so many are willing to pay so much for those Class B's? I get being small to drive around town, but my they are expensive.

Anyway, I didn't know you could add on a remote steering wheel radio controls I saw a few on ebay. https://www.amazon.com/ALLOMN-Univer...46454718&psc=1 I got confused because it says it connect to the DVD input to radio, so not sure how it works if I am playing audio through my phone to the radio blue tooth? I might create a thread on the topic. Now that I know it can be done, I may go to some Car Audio Sound place to see what they can do. You may help me resolve my Hate Issue #4

If so, #6 and #7 will be on deck. I fixed issue #9 by buying a shorter leg (19" vs 31") to make my cabin table into a cocktail table while driving, then I bought some portable mounted cupholders that work just great. See Picture.

Maybe I should have done that before I modified my class C driving position!

After fixing that though, there are only a few things that bug us... #1 & #2 are on the list of TBDs... #3 is a toughie...

No inverter
No bedroom TV
No sofa/recliners/sitting area - except for the dinette.
Oh... the STUPID TV placement in cab-over bunk

Winnebago doesn't use a short leg so I could not get part through them, called the Mfg of the leg and they said it was discontinued but a made to order part ONLY through West Marine. It was $100 bucks and 8 to 12 weeks So one day a popup add shows up for similar part I had been searching from some company called Great Lakes Skipper, they didn't have part online, but I called to ask, turned out they had 27 in stock !!! I got it for $30 bucks and in a few days. perfect fit. I love it because we travel with the table as cocktail now. But before, the OEM cupholder was too far down to sit a beverage or retrieve when driving, also any bump and the drink would spill. That is now fixed. Not sure how you modified driving position?

#2 is not fixable, but we have the right to complain. But when you look at mpg, it is not much difference than what I get with the Navigator. Today I put $140 of gas in RV and $75 in the Boat.

I think Safe T Plus & Sumo Springs have solved my #1. Not quite riding smooth a Lincoln Towncar or the Performance of Corvette, but no harm in wishing

No inverter
A must get. I don't care what anyone says, you only need 1000w, but if you buying to install as MOD; it makes sense to get the 2,000w. We have never come close to use the 1000w and we run Fridge and 3 TVs. I checked with Magnum who says that if my 1000w were to ever fail, it is plug and play for me to get their 2,000w with my Winnebago OEM wiring. They look almost identical.
No bedroom TV
No sofa/recliners/sitting area - except for the dinette. Are you saying No Sofa
Oh... the STUPID TV placement in cab-over bunk
I actually believe I may have seen worse, some units have TVs in that "Televator" At first glance it looks cute, but then I noticed that when the TV was up, it blocked your window view Not sure you could drive with it up? Just something else that could fail. I replaced the Insignia OEM TV with a Samsung. It was actually under warranty and Mfg was going to send me another, but I did not want. I think it was damaged when took off the wall to install wiring for new Soundbar. I wanted Samsung TV anyway for the Apps, Wifi etc. It is true 40" TV and dominates the coach area

So far I only have one, and that is the front cap screws coming out that hold the front cap on to the coach.

1. Gas mileage. Anything less than 30mph is just not acceptable!
2. Axxera radio is barely adequate. (But being adequate, isn't going to get replaced either.)
3. It makes me wish I could retire early.
4. It can't seem to prevent rain.
5. It can't seem to prevent snow either.
uhhh..........

You refuse to do the one thing that has been proven to fix the sway on the F-53???

I guess I earned that.... Yes I flat out refuse, that is why I hate it and is my #1 pet peeve. Ford nor Winnebago would recommend the procedure, nor would any of the Winnebago Dealers perform the fix for me. Yes, I know I should be able to do myself; and I can find 100 places in Dallas / Ft Worth (including CW that everyone has told me to AVOID!!!); that will do for me, but I didn't want to; primarily because it was new coach and and I didn't want to alter anything that may impact warranty or liability.

Having said that, Winnebago and Ford both recommended the Safe T Plus and Sumo Springs. The "Why is that was my reason to pause"; I have done both Safe T Plus & Sumo Springs and it is night and day difference. In my opinion the cost of the Sumo Springs parts were excessive.

Besides, the Duck said I bought a Kit and to make it mine

I like these 5 too. I would be happy with 11 - 15 mpg, but 8 mpg When I read the views of some that say you should not buy the gas if you can't afford the gas, they don't get. It is not what you can afford to do, it is what you want and like to do. Same folks who seemingly pay gas sight unseen will complain about the campsite fees which I think are perfectly reasonable.

I have a Pioneer radio but no Steering Controls. Your description of "Adequate" suits it to the T as well. Since it works I see no need to replace, but the desire to have controls on Steering Wheel may force me to another model? I did a little research and my unit will accept a wired interface to work with an existing wired OEM Steering wheel control, so I have to check to see if that same input will work with a unit that works off of RF.

Really don't hate anything:
What I dislike the most all have to do with what I spent.
1-8 stereo - sh*t speakers
9: cushions - foam not firm enough wish it was leather.
