Question Very high pitch noise on Ford Godzilla (Axis 24.1)

Ran our batteries down boondocking, but even after bringing them back above 12v there is a very high pitched sound only when I turn on engine. We are still camped but I thought maybe the engine would help generator charge batteries (would it?)
The co2 alarm by foot of bed is green and says 2026 replace...so not there.
The noise seems stronger in mid cabin but oddly, we cannot find the source.
??
It goes off immediately when the engine is turned off.

The engine should charge your house batteries.

Does the sound come on when the key in on? Or only when the engine is running.

Your house batteries should be over 13 VDC when charging (above 13.6 actually), and about 12.6 - 12.8 VDC at rest when fully charged.

If jacks are down or slide out etc, we get a warning sound
