Winterization of washer ready lines

/17 Challenger 37GT.
Will the low point drains clear the washer ready lines (no washer) of the water?
If I use antifreeze, will the lines fill from the water pump?
Thanks.

Yes if you open the washer valves and the low point drains at the same time.

Thor MC usually provides a port near the pump intake with a valve to allow anti-freeze to be sucked up by the water pump. Yours is probably in the wet bay, as it is a plant 850 coach. If you configure the water heater lines properly (assuming you have the tank type), the pump will fill all the water lines.
Close all valves in the coach. Use a 2.5 gal of antifreeze connected to the pumps intake and turn the pump on. Wait until the pump stops. Start with the faucet farthermost from the pump and open it s-l-o-w-l-y until the flow turns pink/orange. Close that one and open the other faucet slowly. Repeat for all faucets. Don't forger the outside shower and the outside kitchen (if installed). Leave the antifreeze in the tanks for connection protection. Busted gray water dump lines are not easily replaced.

Excellent procedure by Beau388

I never opened the washer valves on my Landmark at any time

Figured they would drain back due to gravity, enough to keep from freezing

There was carpet in the enclosed area set up as a closet with the valves right on the floor

If I would have open them I would have needed to add some pex to discharge into a bucket

Had the Augusta for 9 years and never any issues with temperature around -10 as the lowest

Used about 3 gallons on the 40 foot 5th Wheel

That particular RV was the easiest one to winterize i have ever owned

And the washer lines ran above the basement under the BR so an easy fix had they froze and split

I don't normal winterize my coach unless we are going to be in the far north for some time. Here at home, it is always plugged into a 50 amp pedestal and if going to be below freezing for a while (it does happen every five years or so) I turn the heat on and set the thermostat to 35 degrees that night. We attend December and January rallies in the area so why winterize?

Had a 2015 Challenger 37ND with w/d prep for 5 years. Never did anything special to w/d prep during winterization. The lines drain through the low point drains and antifreeze will be pumped into the lines by the water pump during winterization.
