2020 Compass 24SX rear suspension mod

I was real unhappy how low the back of my brand new 2020 Compass sat. The stock leaf springs were pretty much maxed out, pancaked. This RV has a real long overhang in the back too. Coming out of normal parking lots the rear would bottom out everywhere. This was a bad design by Thor Motorcoach if you look at the other Sprinter C classes the rear has adequate height and the bottom is angled for more clearance. With that being said I went with Agile 6500lb rear leaf springs to raise the back about almost 3 inches . I also added Fox shocks and Sumo front and back bump stops. Now the RV is where I want it to be it should of came like this from Thor Motorcoach. The ride is much better with the new setup too. On the freeway it is way more stable rear feels more planted .

Before.

The lift and spring package looks great! This should be standard upon delivery.

We're picking up our 2022 Tiburon in a couple of weeks (Same new generation Sprinter chassis). Another Tiburon owner on another forum I subscribe to is taking his RV down to Santee for the lift and spring package. While the OCCC doesn't change, you are surely not pushed all the way down on the back axle any longer.

I get to drive my rig from Florida to Washington state on its maiden voyage. I'm sure I'll be ready to make an appointment with Agile Offroad as soon as I get home.

Hi congrats on the Tiburon. The Compass is my first RV I should of done more looking , researching because I would of went with a different brand, but it is what it is .

What’s crazy is my Compass isn’t even loaded and the back end was sagging like that brand new.

Next was Got tired of messing with air valve extensions to fill air on the tires, and the air valve extenders always leak . So I bought a set of Ulta aluminum wheels.. The stock steel wheels also weigh a ton compared to these Ultas. It felt like more than twice the weight ,and now it’s simple to put air in the back tires . With that being said I immediately notice how quick my Compass accelerates now with these new aluminum wheels it’s night and day compared to the stock steel wheels. Braking is improved a lot as well. Real Amazing .

Heavy steel ones

Slick. With the wheels and lift, you have the start of an Urban Assault Vehicle! Consider a "Mad Max-esque" paint job to replace the tan/white and you'll rule the road!

Your Compass looks like what I almost bought. The 2020 SX floorplan on the new generation Sprinter chassis. I love the floorplan. Having the kitchen/living area completely separated from the bedroom. You end up with with three completely separate-able sections (bedroom, living and bath).

The new generation Sprinter chassis is the big selling feature for me though. Upgraded transmission, seating, the MBUX infotainment system and the slew of driver-assist features really make the Sprinter shine.

I added the Sumo springs front and rear and made a huge difference. They were an easy mod to do at home.

Thanks Driveby the paint job on my compass is shody. Over spray everywhere Real bad taping by their painters like on the doors A pillar where the tan meets the white etc. I had to buff the hood because it basically felt like sandpaper rough.

Left needed

We could use a 3 in lift as well to get into and out of driveway. Is there anything you’d do differently now that your mod is complete?

Op hasn't posted in 2 1/2 years.

But
When adding a lift make sure it makes the
FLOOR OF THE COACH
Level.

From the looks of the op, he's slanted too much to make leveling easy.
Few will care how it looks from the outside but you'll sure care when you're not level on level ground.

Do you have suggestions. I’m a little paralyzed now. Is there a way to know how much change will happen in the cabin with change of springs?
