Freedom Elite Hot Water Heater

Greetings. I see numerous posts about hot waters but not this one yet. We are on our "shakedown cruise" and are not getting hot water in a/c or gas. I looked at the heater and noticed that there is a jumper not connected. There is a plug that looks like it ought to be connected. See photo. (the printing should be right side up for proper orientation)

Any ideas? Can anyone tell me if this jumper is connected on your hot water heater?

Thanks!

On the hot water heater control board of our Freedom Elite 30FE, there are two white plastic connectors plugged in. A small one and a larger one.
Your photo show these two connectors.
In answer to your question, yes, the connector that you show unplugged needs to be plugged in above the other one shown.

That's not what I would call a jumper, but a plug - and YES - it needs to be plugged into the control board for the water heater to work.

Also, no such thing as a "hot water heater". If the water was hot, it wouldn't need to be heated, hence - Water Heater.

Same situation with our Chateau. I was told during our PDI that you should always disconnect this plug when you winterize and drain the HW Tank.
This will prevent damage to the heating element and tank should you accidentally turn it on while empty.
