Magnitude/Omni 2nd glove box

The hidden, in plain sight, second glove box. I wasn't going to post this because I figured everyone but me figured this out. Then I went to a friend's who had bought a new F350 over a year ago and told him how it had taken me 17 months to figure out there's a second glove box. He looked at me and said what are you talking about. I told him that the grey "super duty" above the glove box is another glove box. You have to push in on the rectangle on the bottom left side and the box opens.

While my wife, on the other hand, found out about on our very first trip when she put her bare feet up on the dash (like she always does).

I'll be damned...... I just went out to the garage in a rain storm.... and you're right!

I thought for the life of me that was the passenger aibag!

I'll have to make sure not to tell the DW or she'll have it packed with crap. It's going to be my secret stashing place!

Don’t you people read owners manuals? New vehicles often have many clever features that you might never figure out without help.

If people read the manuals you wouldn’t need the forum.

Remote start with Ford Pass

Another feature that may not be know. You can remote start the F550 using the Ford Pass App. I find this helpful when getting ready to leave while inside the motorhome I can start the truck, retract the slides and leveling feet without having to get in the cab.

I knew about the app but I opted for the Start X Remote Start Plug-n-Play module last year so I could just use the stock key fob to start or turn off the coach when leveling, etc. in case there wasn't cell coveage. It works great and

WOW...I just figured out mine is a motorhome. I bought it and had it towed to the farm. I though it was just a mobile home. No wonder it cost so much!

Feet on Dashboard ????

Devil's Advocate here for this subject.
Consider this: Your passenger is comfortable in the seat and has his/her feet up on the dashboard. What do you think would happen to that person in the event of an airbag deployment? It could be a slight tap on the front by the vehicle in front- it could be an inadvertent hit from behind pushing you into the vehicle in front of you. It could also be a wiring fault from the factory just making itself known.
Everytime I see this on the road I picture that passenger folded up like pretzel with the possibility if broken bones- or worse!
Before airbags ?? Not so much a problem- and although I personally have never seen it happen, an LEO I know has and reminds people whenever he can.
Just something to think about.
