Is there a better rear view and side camera?

On my 2021 Magnitude XG32 I got a rearview camera system with side cameras. I personally don't like it. First the blinker buzzer buzzes when the blinker isn't on, just lower, so I need to find it and remove it. The factory blinker sounds are just fine. Also the camera is very low definition. My old 27" TV I threw away 15 years ago had higher definition.

I would settle for 1080P, but would love 4K. My 2020 Jeep has a 4K backup camera and it is incredible.

So any suggestions or am I a baby boomer snowflake? Don't answer that.

Good luck in your search. Most B/U camera systems are analog and it seems the best "HD" camera on rearviewsafety.com is an "analog 720P" camera.

Your "buzzing" sound doesn't seem normal and may be due to a poor ground connection in your setup.

Realize your system is modular. You have 3 discrete cameras that feed into a discrete multiplexor with triggers that outputs a signal video feed to your in-dash radio, usually with a standard RCA AV feed. I doubt your radio screen can handle, let alone display 1080P or 4K so if you want to go that route you will need a separate digital monitor.

Ours is as bad OR worse, we get a gray & grayer picture from all 3 cameras.
I'm in the middle of figuring out way. We have a Pioneer AVH-P1400DVD, not sure if it's oem.

I'm finding a few 1080P wireless and 1 wired but so far they all have a stand alone display, not interested in these yet.
https://www.amazon.com/Fookoo-Wirele...1172771&sr=8-3

Another option is to change the head unit and cameras, lots of those with navigation.

Research continues.

I know everyone would like to have a crystal clear picture from their side view/ rear view cameras but these are reference devices and as such, the gray scale picture works fine.

I hear a buzzing in the camera display unit when my left turn signal is on. It has been replaced once but it still does it so I chalk it up to that's the way it works.

I am fairly happy with the rear camera. I watch my toad regularly and the picture is pretty clear.

However some of the cameras have been known to get moisture in them and that can degrade the picture. My left camera was replaced for moisture intrusion.

Do you know the brand name of the camera system? My problem is that both my Wrangler and RAM have exceptional camera systems. I sell video imaging for medicine, and I know that this is very old analog stuff. Hi-def technology is less expensive than the old stuff too.

You might want to log into the Thor Owners Resource Site to download the documents for your specific system but the system in my 2020 SV34 is from ASA Electronics.

Here is info on then cameras. The info for the display is too large to attach.
Attached Files
File Type: pdf ASA_Rear-ViewCamera_VCMS-155B.pdf (842.6 KB, 156 views)

I didn't see any paperwork in the packet that came with the coach. I'd like to see the components of the monitor and the buzzer or sound speaker under the dash. thanks Judge.

The documentation should have been in the owners packet but even if it was not...do yourseld a big favor and sign up here you so you can log in and download all of the documentation for your coach.... including plumbing and electrical schematics, which are not in the owners packet.

https://www.thormotorcoach.com/owners/

The actual speaker for the rear camera's microphone is in the display unit on the winshield... and where you control it's volume.

A turnsignal indicator would be a Ford factory item.

P.S. Other than the F-550 owners manual, you won't find anything else that would be Ford specific.

I bought a 12 volt 17 inch monitor with a flip down mount and it hangs just above the steering wheel, I replaced the back up camera with one from Rear View Safety and mounted a right side camera on the front for a better view that the side mirror will not see, I had to buy a second trigger box and separate the back and side view cameras with a toggle switch, the larger screen makes up for picture quality, picture could always be better but what I have now works for me, I did replace the stereo and the mirror cameras still go through the stereo display.

I bought an inexpensive rear view camea w/monitor off EBAY. The camera is mounted under the passenger side mirror providing a 120 degree right-back-side view. It uses a cigar lighter power port. Is it great? No. Is it better than without?YES! I can bacck up into the street from our driveway and see down the street to the right. I can see cars beside me or just behind me on the right.

Some of you might want to check to be sure you removed protective plastic film from camera lense.

Rear camera not working on XG-32

After 4 months in service I picked up my motorhome and the rear camera is not working. (it worked when I dropped it off). The side cameras work. The rear camera says no video. Where is the connection for the 3 cameras and do I have to remove the rear camera to get to the rear connection?

Why was it in service for 4 months?
You didn't tell us the type of monitor/radio you have, if it's a factory dash or a thor dash if you tapped the brakes and what happened if you did.

Have you told the service center who had it for four months?

The rear view mirror is the camera. Model ASA Voyager VOM74MM
It was in service for:
Left slide broken for the second time
Replace the dinette window because of noise
Drawer in bedroom latch broke and left drawer open and bed screw wore hole in drawer face. (The screws on the bed need to be countersunk deeper or they will cut the bed coverings when slide is in)
Exhaust pipe melted hole in rt rear storage box. Exhaust was touching box and box had heat shield on back of box instead of front.
Vinyl was loose on back wall by bed.
TV over dinette fell off and ripped cable out of TV. They replaced TV.
Panel behind drivers seat was warped and 2" screw would not stay in.
Rerouted DEF hose to fill better.
Also after I picked the motorhome up, I noticed both step braces on the left side are gone. Screw heads popped off. I bolted the right side with 5/16" grade 8 bolts.
Motorhome Specialist in Alvarado TX is the worst service dept.

First thing I would do after months in service.
Check to make sure the camera IS STILL on the back of your mh .
Then carefully make sure it's turned on.
Next it's a pain but really needs to be done before you tear into the dash.
Take it back to the service dept, BE courteous, professional but firm.
Tell them you'll wait

The connection your asking about is behind the radio, but the wire to the camera is 30+' long.

Camera

They worked on the camera while it was there. Do you think they did something in the programming wrong?
