Jackknife bed/seat

2023 Thor Sequence.
I have a jackknife bed that converts to a full couch. It has 2 seatbelts on it. Today I had a child and adult (195lbs total) riding there and the couch bent in 1/2.

Really sucks, as now I have to put a 2x4 brace under it and there is a dip when I fold it out to a bed....and I'm 3,000 miles from home!

This is the 2nd issue. At 1,000 miles, the infotainement system went blank. Lost navigation and radio. Spent 2 days at a dealer.

When you pay over 100k for a vehicle like this, you expect it to be fully functional for at least a year.. So what is next for me I wonder......

Welcome to the forum!
And welcome to the world of DIY RV repairs! Dod you call Thor about the couch? We had a problem with our Vegas on our initial outing, about a thousand miles from home and several hundred miles from the selling dealer. Thor suggested 3 dealerships that might do warranty repairs. The first two said days or weeks to get in, the third said bring it in.
Your issue is different, of course, but you would be smart to see what Thor says.
Let us know how you get this fixed.

You spent that much time at a dealer over a $90 radio?

The $100k isn't relevant. $10 or $1,000,000, you said yes before renting one or finding this forum.

Any handyman, in any town, can fix that bed for an hours labor.

RV realities are harsh. It's work, it's a hobby, it's a cardboard house doing 70mph.

Cardboard, low-line appliances, and unskilled transient labor is what you bought.

I could only suggest changing cardboard to cardboard and plastic on a metal frame - don't we all know. I spent two hours finally finding out how to get to my rear engine. Yes the access is under the bed. THOR in their wonderful designers decided to put carpet in that compartment. It is stapled down and THOR must own a staple manufacture. I finally got to the hatch. Cut the carpet around the opening and stapled it on the cover. Added two spring loaded handles and put the screws with fender washers on top of the carpet. Now how hard is that to allow access to the engine? THOR must think that it would never be needed.

I have the same Jacknife sofa bent frame problem on a 2023 Tellaro 20J. How did you resolve it? Thanks
