Hwy 95 in Utah

Greetings forum friends. We are planning a trip from New Orleans to Seattlle this August. We will be staying in and around Moab for about a week. Just wondering if anyone has driven on hwy. 95 from Blanding to Hanksville? We have a 28 ft. Class C towing a small pickup. It looks like a decent enough road on the map but would like some feedback from someone who has been there. Thanks in advance and safe travels y'all
Paul, Marilee and the pups, Rascal and Chewie

According to google maps, Blanding to Hanksville via highway 95 (the long route), includes a river ferry.

Ferry currently closed.

I have been through there a few times - You can cross the river at Hite Crossing Bridge - Absolutely stunning scenery and canyons after you cross, take some time to stop at the rest area on the North side of the river high up on the cliff. Fuel up as there are not many services in the area - Enjoy the ride.

Great info. I bet the drive is stunning. Love Canyonlands.

We are also planning to go to the Northwest from the Phoenix area in August. You have reminded me that I really want to back through that area by Hite Crossing….

I believe there is a boondocking area right down by the river on the Southwest side the Hite bridge.
