How to beat the heat

Hi all,
We are trying to plan ahead for summer travels. When camping in our 2017 Challenger gets so hot inside. We have all the shades drawn a/c running but by mid afternoon it can get over 90 degrees inside. Both A/C's just can't cool the rig enough for comfort. Ideas for how to stay cool when camping in the hotter parts of the country would be appreciated. It doesn't matter if we are plugged in or running off the gen. or the solar panels it is still just hot.

I hear you. We have put the pillows in the ceiling vent spaces, put reflectix in the skylight in the shower, added blackout curtains to all the windows. These all help some, but shade is key. That and pointing the big front window to the east.

+1 for the Reflectix.
We cut pieces to fit all the windows, noticeable improvement.
Worked so good I lined the closets, behind the couch and all the cabinets, waiting till summer to see if this helps

You didn't mention shade trees; we always look for sites with adequate shade to help cut down the sun's rays. Shaded sites near running water are even better!
