Buying interior parts

Maybe a silly question. My better-three-quarters tried attaching a phone holder to the dash ventilation port on our 2014 Thor Axis 24.1. It is round fitting about 3" in diameter with vanes for shutting off or directing air flow from the heater/air condition. She promptly broke off the vanes which fell down into the vent pipe.

I don't think those parts are going to be a problem laying down in a low point in the venting pipes, but she wants the cover replaced. For some reason, my solution of a rolled up sock is not satisfactory for her aesthetic. Picky - I'd just change the sock every now and then.

What is the best way to buy these odd little items that break over time? Do I have to go to a dealer... or is there a way to deal with Thor directly... or better yet, is there somebody who is undercutting the dealer prices by supplying directly to us owners?

Dealer/Thor can certainly fix you up. But it’s certainly a “stock” part that Thor buys in quantity. I’d expect an internet search will turn it up cheaply and easily. Good luck.

I am not sure if this older ACE vent matches your coach (see Forum search link below), but the manufacturer name and part number might be on your specific broken plastic vent piece. Coyote International manufactures many of the plastic dash vent parts and they used to have a catalogue on line you could search. They unfortunately don't sell retail. The attached older posting specs the retailer I had good success with when repairing my dash vent with the Coyote part number. Good luck.
