Doorsteps not staying open outside. I have a 2018 Thor win sport and I’m trying to figure out how to keep my steps open when I’m at the site. Every time I open the door the steps come out, but when I close the door even though the switch says to stay open the steps continue to close

You can always remove the little magnet on the door. Just remember to replace it before driving.

If you have Kwikee steps, they are designed to lock in the open position, when the key is off, regardless of door position. If they have never worked correctly, then it sounds like someone could have miswired the ignition on circuit. To test that, there is a 4 wire connector going to the steps, under the coach. The yellow wire is supposed to be the ignition on sense. With the key off, test for 12VDC at that wire. If you have 12V, then there is a miswired wire. If not, then you have a defective control board. I'd suggest anyone with a Kwikee step to buy the test pigtail to effectively troubleshoot their steps. Procedures for using the pigtail to test the controller.
