Water intrusion question Thor 24.1

I need experienced advice: where is the 24.1 most likely the have water intrusion problems? Where should I focus my efforts for preventative maintenance?

Dave

Good question: Early units were leaky around the bottoms of the driver and passenger front windows. Fixing that usually involves removing the trim ring around the window and re-sealing there (I ended up taking ours to factory service for a leak on our passenger window--they rebuilt the wall under the window).

You may get a leak on the slide which can be a little hard to determine based on where the water comes in the coach. Check the "inner" part of the trim that goes around the outside of the slide, make sure that is all good and sealed up.

Also pop off the rear taillights; you'll notice that they use a foam gasket--that can easily leak. I replaced the taillights with LED lights, coated the recess there with flex-seal and replaced the foam gasket with a rubber gasket (just got a sheet of rubber from Home Depot and cut it to fit).

We've been in some VERY wild weather for thousands of miles, and no water leak.
I would
Line the wheel wells front and back

Remove the ladder screws, squirt the holes full of sealant and replace the screws while it's still tacky.

Remove the outside speakers (depending on if you have them) and reseal around them.

The outside fridge door always gets wet inside. Just get some aluminum tape and make sure it's waterproof inside.

Check the running lights on the roof and douche them well with sealant.
Same with the backup cam.

I'd goop the tops of the awning Mounts.

Check and possibly reseal the side body seam.

I've done none of these, but if worried much, those would be the worry.
Especially the wheel wells.

thanks - When you say line the wheel wells, what would you specifically do?
