European hinge failure...

I have 2 cabinets that open upwards. The European hinges don't hold them up. When I removed the hinges, they appear to be the type that _should_ hold the door open. The springs are apparently too weak to do so. I looked online and there are so many different types it's confusing. Does anyone know of a stronger hing that will replace the originals without having to drill new holes?
