fresh water tank/water pump

Today, I did my first "dewinterization" (I don't think "dewinterization" is a word, but I will pretend I'm Shakespeare for a second. If he can make up words, then so can I).

Hopefully, I can get some help on the following:

1. Why is the fresh water tank drain so so so painfully slow?

2. What is the best way to introduce bleach into the fresh water tank?

3. How can I quiet down the vibration of the water pump? Seems to be screwed down to the floor and it causes obnoxious vibration. I was thinking anti-vibration mats or something.

I mix the bleach in a plastic gallon water container. I use the water filler and pour the solution into the tank slowly. Then use the white hose to fill the tank.

You can take a look at the post #1 here and see what I did to quieten down pump.

Quarter cup per 15 gallons of water. My Vegas tank is 42 gallons - I use 3/4 cup. That mix is if you let it set over night. If you double the mix just let it set 3 or 4 hours.

When I waxed my coach, I did the water system sanitization at the start. Took me 4 hours to wax the RV. When I was finished waxing, I finished the sanitization with fresh water rinse.

There is a checklist in the manual I sent you that covers sanitizing.

Thanks again Ed.

4 hours to wax the coach? Good Lord!

Did you use a machine or was it all done like Karate Kid (wax on...wax off) ?

Looks read good...I like it a lot.

I did see some other mods where the pump was placed on a piece of 1-2 inch foam.

Takes an old man time to get up and down that ladder. Lots of surface area on those walls. All hand rubbed.

Don't forget to sanitize the water hose as well. People tend to store their water hoses connected together where water sits for some time.

I put longer vinyl hose on the in and out sides and stuffed 2" foam under and around the pump but after seeing the hose isolation mod I may have to try that. The hose and foam did cut the noise down to where you only hear the pump inside, before I was afraid to flush at night because I might wake the neighbours.
