Epi-pen prices went stupid high...just because they could.

A handy 'shortage' of def might be a handy way to make the price fluctuate to $100 or so.

Are def prices regulated or guaranteed or could a smart guy just shut it all down?

I was a little bit involved in this urea thing in 1982.

On a monthly basis we run our generator and when in storage add a stabilizer to the fuel. We had previously had the generator feed hose replaced which was expensive as it required removal of the gas tank first. So now we run monthly for about 15min to avoid that happening again.

There is a world wide shortage of ammonia. DEF is just one of the products in short supply. Price anhydrous ammonia or ammonium nitrate and you will see a 50 to 80% increase in prices over the winter of 2020. It is not a good time to be a farmer. In the US ammonia is created from natural gas by the Haber process, so if the cost of natural gas doubles then ....

That's the fun of a market driven by supply and demand pricing...
I would NEVER prefer government intervention in the pricing!

We use Seafoam when putting the motorhome up for the winter. Add 5 cans (80 ounces) per the instructions to the 80 gallon tank and then run V10 & the genny for an hour to get the treated fuel run through the system. Every 3-4 weeks start both engines and run for minimum of 45 minutes. Load the genny with a 1500 watt portable heater and run the transmission through the gears before we shut everything down.
Basically been doing this with all our MH's since 1990. Knock wood it has kept our rigs engines, fuel systems, carbs & injectors healthy.
