Gel coat shot already?
What are my options with this 2016 Thor Axis 24.1 with decals and gel coat? It appears to have some ghosting and oxidization already? Can gel coat be restored with cleaner wax and buffing machine? I’m not interested in the floor wax stuff, shine on, red max, zep, etc..

A professional detailing shop would probably be able to answer all of your questions...

A detail shop that does boats can do a cut and buff that should clean it up. Then you need to keep on top of keeping it washed and waxed.

Ours looked like that before some Meguiars fiberglass restoration system (Amazon). It took us about 8 hours... (Note that our Axis is 2 years older than yours.)

there is a product called Poli Glow you can buy on Amazon, it around $80.00 for the kit and works well, I saw it demonstrated at a boat show years ago and was impressed, only problem at the time only a dealer could apply it, their claim it was not user friendly, it has to be applied as per directions and you need to wear the latex gloves, its a coating and it will last several years and longer if you keep a coat of wax on it every year, it comes with a cleaner that will strip the oxidation, good product and worth the money

Poly prep Poly Glow. Have used it on two MH’s. One I sold it looked like new and 17yrs old. I have a 2016 Gemini now used it last year the sun was starting to fade the front cap. Great product. You use the prep first to take any wax off. Then you apply the Poly Glow it takes five coats the first time but very easy to put on drys fast. From then on you apply one coat each year No buffing needed. Purchase the kit on Amazon. Boats have been using this for years. Don’t put liquid floor wax on it, big mistake !

. No I didn’t but I would also file a claim first but if they don’t resolve the issue I would use the Poly Glow/Prep kit I feel it will bring back the shine and protect the coach it sure made my seventeen year old A class look like new. I put it up for sale on RV trader and it sold the same day.

We purchased a similar product and the fading is terrible. The sides look splotchy and makes the unit look like it's 20 years old. I tried to file a claim in the spring but was denied because I told them that I noticed it starting to happen last fall. Supposedly I needed to call within 30 days of noticing it. Just a loop hole for them to get out of it. At least there appears to be a couple options, although labor intensive, to restore the appearance.
