Rize Generator Placement - recall?

I just purchased a 2023 Rize 18A on a 2021 Ram chassis.
The generator sits 6 inches from level ground and below the rear axle.

I found that there was a Thor Technical Service Bulletin TSB 21-06 with instructions to use a Parts kit "TSB 21-06 Part Kit #0503506" containing rear axle shims and larger bump stops in order to raise the van up a little.

In looking at my van, the placement and the bump stops, this "recall" was not performed on my van prior to purchase.

Does anyone know if I can get it done after purchase?

I would think you could take it to any Thor authorized center as a recall would remain open until completed regardless of ownership

A “TSB” is not a “Recall”.

Yes, I had that done after buying a gently used 22 Rize 18M. I was hoping they would reposition the generator, but they just lifted up the back with some Sumo springs.

Just make an appt with your dealer/repair center and make sure they have the kit before you show up.

Does anyone know if the factory has changed this or do we still have to make this modification on all 2023 models that are at dealer lots? I looked at one today it seemed pretty low maybe 6 inches to the ground

6in is pretty good. Mine was originally 3.5in above the ground. Sounds like they fixed it.
For better ground clearance, check out the Revel.

I was driving down freeway today and spotted a Rize.
First thing I noticed was a green Onan under the center line behind rear axel.
Nifty set-up!
First thing that crossed my mind…”is there enough clearance?”

18a generator

I just questioned Thor customer service about the reason the TSB was so limited. They told me the 2023 models use a lift kit on the generator. Mine is about 6" from road surface.

I bought a used 20AT Tellaro, and prev. owner had run over something that ripped out all the wires for the generator- so whatever you do, make sure the wire harness is dressed up and out of harm's way. While you;re at it- check ALL the wires underneath... Mine were all over the place, just waiting for that next tire shard or deer to remove them... Good luck!
