You might consider using those skills and just fix it even though the warranty is still in effect. The risk that you’ll do something that invalidates the warranty’ is slight if you do good work. Almost certainly you’ll do better work than the thumbs at the dealer. And you’ll learn SO much about your coach. If it’s a matter of principle that you just want to hold Thor accountable you’ll make yourself crazy!

I'm happily crazy now😊. I tell everyone that are looking for a motor home not to buy Thor. The only way to get Thor to get better is to hit them in the pocketbook.

It took awhile for me to figure out why mine were shutting off randomly. What it ended up being is when the water heater is running on electric every time it turned on to heat the water the TVs would shut off. Don’t know if it will work for you but it is worth a try. Good luck.

Better start looking for that bad connection now before it heats up and causes a fire.

Heating elements (like in your water heater) have a low resistance at first which increases when they heat up. This causes a starting surge similar to your air conditioner. This surge is causing your voltage to dip to the point your TV shuts itself off. Not good.

If it’s a smart tv and you’ve recently had it connected to WiFi, make sure you’ve changed the tv settings. If it tries to connect and fails it will turn the tv off. The bad part is it turns off faster than you can get to the settings!

I've never seen a smart TV do that. If it can't connect you just don't have access to the "smart" apps. It should still function as a TV. Who would design it to do that? How would you ever get it connected to WIFI in the first place?

Only Seiki.

It took a while to figure it out and even longer to race the tv shutting off to get it changed. It’s been a few months but I believe it was when the tv tried to connect to a crappy connection that required a web page “acknowledgement”. I wrote it off as being a bad tv but then either my engineerd or bourbon kicked in and I figured it out.

Thor TV's

On our Vegas 24.1 the outside Seiki TV got wet in a torrential rainstorm and died. Tried to remove the one in the Bedroom, which we never used, and trade place with the broken one.

Could not remove the bedroom TV, cause the excellent craftsman at Thor stripped the screws while installing. Everyday some thing shows up and my admiration for the Thor craftsman grows.

Went to Best Buy and got a Roku TV for $139 that was the same size. And it was a great choice.

Go to a hardware store and get an easy-out to remove the screws.

Or you can use what I call "The hard way"...
Rip the screws out with a cats paw, and replace with larger ones!

(I don't suggest this method... I'm just saying that when my frustration mounts: any and all possibilities are on the table!)

If only it was that easy, 8 inches in and about 1.5 inches wide. I'm going to have to drill it out.

I assume you have tried the "reset" all settings in the menu? These electronic items are getting too complex even for an EE (Electrical Engineer)!

I agree...
You need to keep a twelve year-old handy, in order to run most of this stuff!

Actually the dealer replaced it with a Samsung Smart TV. The install was screwed up but I was able to drill 4 new holes, add a new audio cable and a longer HDMI cable and all worked great.
