Spare tire mount 24.1 Vegas/Axis
I just finished installing my new spare tire and mount. Anyone needing help with this can contact me at john@usallianceinc.net. Easy to remove and replace tire with this mount. Simple to install.

I would be interested if mount is connected to chassis. Like a Ford under chassis mount.

All, this is what it looks like with a Curt mount from the towing receiver.

Thanks DocMike for the reply. My spare is on a bracket attached to the bumper. I want to install mine under the chassis out of the way, to be able to install bike carrier in tow hitch opening. I have tire change on my insurance so I will never have to change tire (I removed tire to clean and wax rim, it ways a ton). I am old school, just having spare tire makes me feel better. I have seen how people have made a bracket for the spare tire attached to the chassis. Ford wants alot of money to install the bracket and tire holder. Will keep on looking for better way to hold spare up under chassis.

Storing spare tire out of the way under coach makes sense for many reasons, but if your main criteria is to also use a hitch-mounted bike rack at same time, there are receiver adapters that let you do that. I'm mentioning this just in case you are not familiar with them.

There are double decker receiver mounts that allow for one spare/bike rack and the other for a Toad.

This is a Bal Hide a spare under vehicle mount that I looked for my Vegas several years ago. I measured and thought, at the time, that it would fit. Just another option.
