What chassis grease do you use?

I recently bought a 2018 Aria 3401 and I’m working my way through maintenance. I want to lube chassis components and driveshaft, essentially anything with a zerk fitting. Reading the Freightliner chassis manual the specs on grease are similar but not identical. Mostly lithium Grade 2 with EP. Some places don’t say lithium and some don’t say EP. If I get an EP lithium that’s grade 2 can I use it everywhere? Thanks

I use this grease however it is a bit of overkill, and you could use something cheaper

Used it for years

Thanks, all. I take it you use the same grease at all locations? I have some Lucas EP 2 that I use on my tractors

Yep, grease everything with the same stuff.
Quality grease is best. Tractor grease good.

I would think since a lot of people don't grease their chassis components anymore and they still las for years that any grease with the same specification would be fine.

I use the same.
Might have been a PROJECTFARM recommendation.
It is very red and very tacky.
I loaned out my grease gun and they put something else in after using my r&t cartridge. I'll clean it out.

But
I doubt you can buy unacceptable grease

And
Marketing plays a huge part in what the owners manual recommends.
Don't be a dealership sucker. John Deere sells and recommends John deere branded wax(that's as silly of a thing as I could think of)

And
My 1963 ford will be 60 years old this Halloween.
The recommendation for chassis lube is every ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND MILES.
I doubt things are worse now than 1963 mechanics and metallurgy.

And
There's a bit of worry about mixing grease types.
You'll never have to worry about such things on a personal vehicle.

the auto parts store sells chassis grease used in guns, usually 90w or so. I like high temp when I have a choice as it is great in disc brake applications. I grease my joints EVERY oil change, and I always change my own oil and filter. it is easy, and what I call fun.

Good grease, bought it by the case for farm equipment many years

Farm stores tend to cary it
