Very much like what I have... The Pico unit outside - used my own router inside instead... Nothing special about that piece of it.

Other advantages to this type of setup:
Dealing with device limits... The repeater shows as one device to the wifi network, regardless of how many are connected to your router.
Your devices only need to know about your router... Only the extender needs to be setup to use each new network. Same with your own hotspot)

Cell phones, tablets, media, computers... Too many devices. Lol
