Congrats and welcome to the forum! We have a similar model that is a couple of years older.

We also dolly tow our FWD Jeep Cherokee, we dolly towed a Jeep Renegade before that. On our previous motorhome, we towed a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4-down. There are no right or wrong answers, just pick the vehicle you like and go from there. There is a towing guide that you can find online that lists all models that can be flat towed. Pretty much any front wheel drive vehicle can be dolly towed.

As far as mods, you may want to read up on the CHF (cheap handling fix) as that helps to prevent sway and lessens the impact of wind and passing semis when on the road. We also added solar to our rig to help us boondock more efficiently (use less generator) and added a satellite dome and a number of things inside. Check the thread for Jerry's Hurricane Mods for more ideas - the Hurricane and Windsport are sisters.

Most of all, get out there and enjoy!!
