For all you ex-Navy folks out there, I am sure you know what this title is saying; After 35 years, the Chula Vista RV Resort is closing. Seems the Port of San Diego wants the land to build a new convention center, hotel and other businesses to attract revenue.
They will be closing February 1, 2019. So if you want to experience them one more time, book now.
For those that do not know this great spot, it the typical large square, parking lot style resort. But what make this place stand out, besides the bay side location, is the events and staff. Concerts, kids foam parties, Thanksgiving pot lucks (they always supply the turkeys), check out day coffee and donuts and just many more activities. Very friendly staff and events fall month long.
Luckily my family will have one more event there as we are doing Thanks Giving again.
Chula Vista, we will miss you!
