My electric cord compartment opens down and is under the slideout. I cut a piece of plywood wide and tall enough to cover the compartment, then cut a piece out of the top of the plywood in the center where the cord comes out. When setting up, I pull the cord out of thecompartment through the compartment door then place the board up over the cord and tape the plywood to the outside wall. Then put the extend the slide. Unfortunately the plywood I sin the vehicle now so not available for me to take a picture. So I attached a drawn picture.
