I don't tow a car but I do toe a 22' cargo trailer. Under your dash to the left of the steering wheel is a grey plug for the trailer brakes. It's an old school style ford plug. Ford only makes two types so it's easy to get the right one. There was one in with my instruction manuals but I bought a direct plug and play wire for my controller. Under the back of the RV are all but constant power wires to wire up a 7 way. There taped inside conduit so you have to search a little.

A good thing for all of you guys to do is to check the wiring back there. Mine had a number of wire harnesses hanging down on top of the generators exhaust pipe.

Also another note. Run you'd slide all the way in and out without stoping. The motors loose count if you stop part way. I'm not a fan of Schwintek slides so far.
