Just a thought....have you tried/practiced the manual procedures? I had a motor failure in the field and while I spent over an hour of hand wringing and searching the internet on my phone once I got it figured out it only took a few minutes to remove the motors and just push the slide in manually. I had to rig up a slide lock but having done it once I no longer have any fear or worry about the mechanism. When I got home I ordered a pair of adjustable slide locks for $35 and I carry them now but have never had to use them.
