That should work. Although if you still have lots of antifreeze in your fresh water tank I’d drain it out first. One thing I learned is to flush out all of your antifreeze before you un-bypass the water heater. Otherwise the antifreeze in your lines gets into the WH and it can take just the longest time to work it’s way out. So I flush all of my lines on city water then un-bypass the water heater and then, if I need to, sanitize the system? If you do end up with antifreeze in the water heater you can flush it with the pump and the drain removed but it doesn’t work really well because there’s a fair amount of water in there even with the drain plug removed. There is a nifty little gizmo you can put on a garden hose to flush it out through the drain opening and I recommend using that. Have fun snowbirding. We’re heading to Florida for a month also. Cold in Indiana!
