I also don't have one in the ceiling, but I know that under cabinet/over the couch too well.
I had a short in the wiring to that outlet which blew shore power only, never a house breaker, never gfci. If it's wired hot like the op says, it would sure explain how that happened to me. When we put the slide out, shore would pop.
Bear in mind my 24.1 is a 2018. Though I think the differences are cosmetic and the Bluetooth system for control.
