Getting a reasonable running start before hitting the incline helps a bit, too.
We've seen too many rigs roasting down to the ground after a hard uphill climb just over the summit due to an aggressive right foot and not enough preventive maintenance.


Let your temp gauge be your guide climbing the long passes-whenever I see the temp start to climb I back off the pedal to ease the temp back to normal operating temperature. You're not missing anything going slower up those hills so that's the time to grab your drink and enjoy the view!
