It is not a matter of switching the inlet from one tank to another. If the unit is installed in the wrong tank you will have to drill a hole to install the jet nozzle, you will have to route and install the hose (could be as much as 10 to 12 feet of additional hose requirement) and then you will have to remove the nozzle from the grey tank and plug that hole. There is also the issue of positioning the. nozzle so that it flushes the tank in an effective manner.

If you attempt to do that yourself any tank related warranty claims in the future can be denied if you don't do it in the manner recommended by Thor.

But as I always say, do what your wallet can afford.
