A permanent one isn't the best idea due to the cutting required to replace it.
Use a bayonet mounted one and just leave it attached. Then it's semi permanent.
A macerator has almost nothing to do with the model or brand of rv.

If you want to do it correctly and once, consider a toilet with a built in macerator.

I have a macerator. It uses a 3/4" garden hose as a dump hose.
I used a water thief to change the macerator from its one inch outlet to the 3/4" garden hose male end.
Many to most have a thermal breaker in them. Mine runs about two minutes and shuts itself off for 20 seconds, then repeats. It's worrisome at first, but it's normal.
