A simple fix is to put a bath towel under the cover. It will prevent the cover from vibrating during travel. However, remove before cooking [emoji16]

The top is designed to be removed for cleaning/servicing and I don't know how to make it more secure. Photo 2 shows the rear clips that hold the top down.

I'd be willing to caulk it down but have no idea what material would be appropriate to handle the heat from the stove.
